Born: 2020/21
Mother: Sally

The yearling who we believe to be Sally’s calf was documented during our 2021 field session. The mother-calf pair was observed swimming parallel and in very close proximity to five positively identified members of Unit R. The confident calf would sometimes split away from Sally to swim comfortably among members of Unit R. The young whale appeared to be slightly larger than Rap’s calf who was observed during the same encounter.

Smooth pectoral fins, no facial markings
Smooth underside, no obvious markings
Pristine flukes
