Born: <2005
Mother: Unknown
During our 2021 field session we documented an adult-calf pair swimming parallel and in very close proximity to five positively identified members of Unit R. The calf sometimes split away from the adult to swim comfortably as an accepted member of the larger group of Unit R whales. After video review, we confirmed that the adult female was Sally, and she appears to be the mother of a yearling.
