Fruitsalad is a matriarch within Unit A whose bloodline includes her daughter Soursop, and granddaughter Ariel. She is a noticeably large and quietly imposing whale who emanates a serene, stalwart, and enduring essence that appears to be a stabilizing force within the group.

Loving, friendly, and affectionate with other adults in her social unit, Fruitsalad is tolerant, aware, and mostly disinterested in humans. We once witnessed her and Atwood swimming as a tactile, communicative duo for over 25 minutes. They continuously rubbed their bellies together while emitting codas and clicks as they traveled in unison.

Fruitsalad is an active participant in the caretaking duties of the calves, and has been documented nursing her grand-daughter Ariel. She is often seen cruising with her daughter and granddaughter.

As of 2022, Fruitsalad has remained rather wary of humans and our only documentation of her was from afar.
