Atwood's Calf
Male, Unit A

Born: 2021
Mother: Atwood

Born: 2021
Mother: Atwood

We were thrilled to observe Atwood nursing a newly born male calf in late November, 2021.
We estimated his age at several weeks old. Since Atwood is now lactating and the calf was
primarily seen in her presence, we assume that she is the mother. What is striking is that the
little calf is already displaying distinctly masculine features, including a more angular,
squared-off head. We await positive confirmation of his lineage upon (later) DNA testing.

Smooth pectoral fins, squared off head
Parallel markings on right, white chevron under naval, tiny spot near anus
Clean, unmarked flukes
