I am thrilled to introduce this website and thank you for your interest in the sperm whales of Dominica! Through this blog I’ll provide updates on our research endeavors and will invite our citizen scientists to share their experiences along the way. We leave for Dominica in a few days for the 2022 field session and will keep you posted.
Each research period is entirely different and we never know what to expect from year to year. We remain open and grateful to any and all interactions initiated by the whales.
