Sophocles was born prior to 2005 and we have very little documentation of this rather elusive elderly whale. She is the mother of Jonah who is a vivacious and interactive member of Unit J.
Sophocles is typically seen from afar and in the company of other whales. We were able to capture imagery of her in 2022 swimming with Jonah.
